Thornton: Whether you desire extreme sports such as mountain biking or simply relaxing under an old oak tree in a manicured park Thornton offers it all! Located in Adams county approximately 12 miles North of Denver Thornton was founded in 1952. The school district is the popular Adams County 12 known for its Five Star Schools. Southern Thornton is well developed featuring established neighborhoods with broad beautiful trees and mature landscaping. Northern Thornton is being developed still today, with new neighborhoods, lakes, ball parks, and a new outdoor mall with IMAX theatre. Many parts of the city along 136th Ave and 144th Ave are perched on a hill allowing stunning uninterrupted views of the mountains. Numerous city events take place in Thornton from the Thornton Fest to Harvest Fest. Thornton's population is approximately 159,155 and growing.
Erie: Those of you who haven't been to Erie recently will hardly recognize it! Erie has grown so much over the last year, and it's not done growing yet! There are so many fabulous features about Erie. There is a 1950's style charm mixed with resort style living! Located near Boulder offering breathtaking mountain views. Erie has a rich history dating back to the 1860's. Stagecoach companies delivered freight, mail and passengers to the foothills and Boulder. The Overland Stage traveled from Denver to Laramie each day on today's U.S. Highway 287. Erie was incorporated in 1874. Old town Erie is splashed with history throughout. New town Erie has a beautiful new Recreation Center, Children's Hospital and many shops still being constructed. You are sure to be delighted by the neighborhoods of Erie such as the golf course community of Vista Ridge with tons of amenities, and Erie Village with stunning Victorian style homes. Erie gives you the feeling of being in the country while having all the conveniences of the city. Erie's population is approximately 15,712 and growing.
Broomfield: Founded by farmers in 1877 Broomfield got it's name from broom corn grown in the area. The rich soil of Broomfield has been tilled with great love. Today Broomfield is rich in culture. The population is growing steadily with several new neighborhoods being built. One of the largest is Anthem with numerous parks and trails, a lake, and a fabulous recreation center with pool. Broomfield separated from Adams County in 1998 creating Broomfield County. Since that time the city has boomed with the construction of the Flatiron Crossing, Broomfield Event Center, Ice Arena, and much more!
